Extra-Curricular Clubs
At Staplehurst Primary School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom, and our extensive programme of extra-curricular clubs reflects our commitment to developing the whole child. We offer a wide range of lunchtime clubs, including creative, sporting, musical and wellbeing activities, giving pupils regular opportunities during the school day to explore new interests and develop their talents. Many of our sports clubs are led by qualified coaches, providing structured, high-quality physical activity that promotes teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love of sport.
In addition, we provide after-school clubs throughout the year for every year group from Reception to Year 6, ensuring that all pupils have access to enriching opportunities at every stage of their primary journey. Our programme includes creative arts, sports, mindfulness, gardening and music, offering something to inspire every interest and talent. Creative clubs nurture imagination and self-expression, while music clubs build confidence, collaboration and enjoyment through performance and shared experiences. Our mindfulness sessions support children’s emotional wellbeing, teaching strategies for calmness, focus and resilience in an increasingly busy world.
We believe that extra-curricular activities are essential because they enrich children’s experiences, helping them discover new passions, build friendships and develop confidence beyond the academic curriculum. Clubs strengthen our school community by bringing children together across classes and year groups in a shared sense of purpose and enjoyment. Above all, our clubs reflect our belief that primary education should be broad, balanced and inspiring.
